NH DOT Guidelines for Dynamic Messaging Signs (DMS): This document supplements NHDOT Policy 402.05. The Department of Transportation (NHDOT) has sole responsibility regarding the decision to display messages and the types of messages to be displayed on all highways maintained by the Department.
NH DOT Policy: This policy was established as guidance for the use of Dynamic Message Signs.

To request a Variable Message Sign (VMS), this form must be completely filled out by the requesting community/agency.
The form must clearly state the nature of the request, specify a point of contact and phone numbers, to ensure Department of Safety personnel can coordinate all necessary logistics, including approval and confirmation to requesting municipality/agency.
